G.T.I.M., is an acronym for Gtek the ILL Meta4. Born and raised in the Windy City Chicago. Music was introduced in his daily life since a young age, being the son of a DJ. G.T.I.M. first began creatively writing around the 1st grade , winning regional awards for his talents. Years later these same creative skills were channeled into poetry and Hip Hop. It became an outlet to express his imagination, helping him to avoid involvement with gang activity and drug trafficking in his neighborhood. In the 7th grade he was asked to write & perform a rap song dressed as former president Abe Lincoln for a school assembly. It was his first time ever writing a 16 bar verse & rapping in front of a large audience. This random request solidified his love for performing live, and GTek the ILL Meta4 hasn’t stopped performing and making music since. Now with well over a decade of honing his technique G.T.I.M. displays his love of music in a manner that is socially conscious , witty , and fun directed in Hip Hop form.
